2019年10月，韦博英语被爆大量门店停课关门，上海总部人去楼空，部分自称“志愿者”的员工给学员登记退款备案信息。总部员工称被拖欠3个月的薪资，平均每人被欠薪四五万元。目前韦博英语在北京、上海、成都等主要城市的多家分店已关门，受影响学员数万人，涉及退费金额或近亿元。
